Our Chaplains

John Powell had worked in youth activity centres both here and abroad moving on to  police custody suites before joining the charity in 2014 when the Transforming Rehabilitation changes came into existence.

John is married with a family and enjoys sports of all kinds and is a great fundraiser.

John covers the south of the county and heads the Family Project.

Philip Jones had been a criminal defence lawyer before heading off into retirement when the chance to work with prisoners returning to their community came about. He joined the charity around the same time as John and doubles as the Operations Manager.

Philip is married with a family and can claim membership of Rotary, Lions and Street Pastors as activities.

Philip covers the north of the county (including Coventry and Solihull) and heads the Through the Gate (Meet and Mentor) project.
