Past Fundraising

Futures Unlocked, as a charity, relies on support from all forms of agency in its fundraising profile, but most especially from its volunteers and supporters. Here are some examples of fundraising efforts on behalf of the charity.

Hugh's Paris marathon

Hugh ran the Paris marathon and kindly donated all the money he raised to Futures Unlocked. He is planning to run the Great North Run and will be looking for donations for that – watch this space.

Sponsored bike ride

Some daring souls engaged in a sponsored bike ride from Onley prison around the county. Around 20 cyclists (and support team) set off to cover many miles around our patch. It was a lovely day and as an indirect result we were able to start a bike project with abandoned bikes left at Rugby railway station. The uncle of one of the riders works there and was able to put the project together. We had the bikes serviced and refurbed at the Halfords workshop at Onley prison and were able to issue them to clients who could make use of them getting to work.
